After years of working to first ‘deschool’ my kids and then rekindling a love of learning, we are finally there. Both kids love learning but more importantly they relish a challenge.
Now it is my turn for reform…
Yesterday I was cleaning the dishes while the Hub took the kids for a walk to the library to run stairs and gather more books. That is one of my ‘zone out’ activities. I get my best thinking done over a sink full of soapy dishes.
It hit me: Your kids are your most precious gift. OK, DoodleMom, don’t forget to treat them like it.
