Z is for Zane Grey

We have officially come to the end of our blogging though the alphabet adventure. Thank you so much for sticking by us! We will restart the series in January with a twist, so be sure to come back then for details.

And now, Z is for Zane Grey

Z is for Zane GreyZane Grey – Where He Fits In History

Zane Grey was born in 1872 in Ohio. It was the year that Ulysses S. Grant won the presidential election. Susan B. Anthony voted for the first time, and the first patent was listed by the U.S. patent office.

This is one author whose book is on my to-read list. He is a classic western author with oodles of books to explore!

“[He] had the knack of tying his characters into the land, and the land into the story. There were other Western writers who had fast and furious action, but Zane Grey was the one who could make the action not only convincing but inevitable, and somehow you got the impression that the bigness of the country generated a bigness of character.” – Erle Stanley Gardner

Come back in January for details about our next tour through the alphabet. I hope you can join in next time. Even if you miss a few weeks along the  way, it is a wonderful opportunity to share and learn and explore together!

But in the meantime, join me and my fantastic co-hosts as we link up all of our “Z is for” posts!
