Valentine’s Day Books for Boys (and Dad) : Off My Shelf

A Selection Of Books From Our Home Library

It is February and for me that means that spring is coming soon. But more importantly, while we wait through those last dreary, cold days we can eat chocolate without guilt! So since my husband will be bringing me chocolate to share in a week or so, I decided that this month’s books will be focused on books that boys and husbands will love.

So often Valentine’s Day is focused on girl-related themes. What about the boys? They don’t like the romantic frilly themes, so I pulled out some great books that you can share with boys for Valentine’s Day (and one for Dad).

Each month I pull a pile of books off the shelves in our home, books that my kids and my husband and I love. Each book I select is special and full of memories for me. And I will share them with you: Off My Shelf.

Here is the lineup for this month (pictures and our brief reviews are below, if you scroll down the page):

  • Love by Matt de la Pena
  • Raggedy Andy Stories by Johnny Gruelle
  • Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare
  • Sir Gawain and The Green Knight
  • Six Expressions of Death by Mojo Mori (for Dad)
