Be Strong and Hold Out Your Hand

Do you ever find yourself so caught up in your daily life that you forget to be strong and remember why we are here?

Be Strong and Hold Out Your HandI have been reviewing some really great (secret for now) products lately that have been forcing me to really think about where we are and why. It is really helping me work out how we must live once we decide upon our worldview. Why we must be strong and hold out our hand.

When I look around I realize how crazy life is getting all around us. So much fear and hate  lashing it’s way through our lives.

We try to keep all that from our children, right? I try to shield them from the world. But as they grow older it gets harder and harder.

How do we show our children that if we hold on to our faith and our compassion everything will work out just fine?

That is the big question I am struggling with lately.

And then I realized that both my kids are OK – they figured it out when I wasn’t looking.

They understand that you just have to love the best that you can and be Valiant (as my friend Kristen @ A Mom’s Quest to Teach wrote this week). Armed with that, your children will be fine.

Do you worry about your kids the same as I do? What do you do to help them?

This post was inspired by a Hootie and the Blowfish song called “Hold My Hand” about love and leadership and faith.

Our Blog was busy this week – Thank you to everyone who is commenting and joining me as we talk about homeschooling life! I really enjoy the conversation and fellowship.

I wrote about taking time for your family, the kind of science I feel comfortable teaching my kids, and a short verse about a wild garden in the big city!
