DoodleMom's Homeschooling Life

Sewing, Sewing, Sewing

When the cats are away at scout campouts for the weekend, we mice play and sew!pjs

My daughter loves these times when the two of us embark on marathon sewing, knitting, and crocheting weekends. And today we pumped out a pair of leggings, a pair of pants, upcycled her too short PJs, and fixed up a colorful skirt for her. All in all, it was a great day!

I love upcycling and recently discovered I can use the shirts and pants my kids grew out of years ago to make all sorts of fun things. Last week I made a pillow and an overnight bag with front pocket to hold toothbrush and book for my nephew’s birthday. Can you guess how old he is?

So why is it that sewing is not nearly as fun when ‘the boys’ are home? They don’t get in the way, but somehow that girl time I spend with my daughter is so much more precious when we are home alone.
