Finding God in Science

So many children’s books about science either water down the details or leave out the part that God played in creating the world around us.

This new book from Passion Publishing is chock full of both detailed science facts and God. Each topic includes Bible verses and prayers that your child can use to develop a relationship with the Lord while learning an amazing number of facts and scientific discoveries.

Why this is an amazing choice for your homeschool

I generally approach science books for kids that include an overt Christian worldview with skepticism, but not for the reason you might think.

So many science texts written for children gloss over important details and key points in an attempt to make the material cute. The result is a book that gives parents the feeling that their children are learning, when in fact kids learn so little that the net result is that they misunderstand the facts and do not understand the world around them. This is usually even worse in science books written for Christian children. The focus is nearly always heavily focused on scripture and God’s message with little attention to presenting true information about the science.

The Wonder of Creation is the best science devotional for kids that I have seen!

Louie Giglio and Tama Fortner have created an amazing book for children with 100 devotions that are a perfect balance of honest and complete science explanation paired with scripture, prayers, and infused with an overall appreciation for the majesty and grandeur of God and His works.
