Enough is Enough, I Hope

Enough

Enough is Enough I hopeHave you ever had enough?

I ask myself many times each day, “is this enough?

Am I doing enough to help my husband? He goes to work evey day and works as hard as he can to provide for the kids and I. Do I do enough to support him?

Am I teaching my kids enough? Is it enough for them to lead the adult lives they wish for?

Do I show my love enough to my husband? Do I let my trivial problems get in the way?

Am I kind enough to friends? Do I keep up with their lives enough or do I let my own troubles cloud my compassion?

All these enough and more swirl in. My head every day. These are the fears and u certainties and doubts that crowd in and keep me from living and loving freely.

So I think that at least for myself, i must check my enoughs at the door and get on with more positive activities. Enough really is enough. Time to move on…

This is a five minute Friday post with the word prompt for the day brought to you by Kate Motaung: Enough.  Five Minute Friday is a group of people who gather on Friday to do a five minute free writing session around a word prompt.  Then we share what we have written and offer encouragement. 1. It’s so easy to ask yourself this question…and feel like the answer is “no.” Sometimes I have to tell myself, “Enough!” too. LOL

  2. Asking these questions is good to gauge where we are at but yeah, it’s also good when we say “enough” to them, too! Thanks for the reminder!

    1. I totally agree about knowing when to say enough to the questions! Thanks!

  3. Checking my thoughts at the door is exactly what I need to do as well. I ask those same questions and there is a moment when Jesus’ words speak into us :”My grace is sufficient….” I’m at #61 in the linkup
