BEGIN YOUR WEEK HERE WITH SOMETHING BETTER!

Each week I share encouragement, ideas, recipes, and more to help you relax and be that happy mom we all want to be for our kids. So grab a quiet spot, a cup of caffeine, and browse! Just relax, and your week will be great!

GROUNDING FOR YOUR WEEK

  • Shopping for the stressed homeschool mama? Sometimes I just browse Etsy and look at all the fun homeschool mom swag there is to buy. I rarely ever purchase anything. Just spending a few minutes looking is a ton of fun and reduces the stress.
  • Have you ever heard of minimalist homeschooling? I had not either. But it is so simple and easy if you can let go of the worry. The result is a relaxed, happy mama and relaxed, happy kiddos. Give it a read and let me know what you think.
  • Do you worry about socializing your kids? What if they don’t have enough friends? What if they have the wrong kind? What if you are failing as a mom? Well, the truth is that you really are doing an amazing job. We all read those self-help books for homeschool moms and worry that we don’t do everything in the books. But the books are not real, they are a best case suggestion for a specific family. And every family is different. So don’t worry and do what feels comfortable for your family! It will be alright. Here is a really interesting article about introverted homeschool moms that will make you feel better, guaranteed!

FUN KID-FRIENDLY ACTIVITIES

Try a free ocean unit study! – Let’s start the week off with a bit of mystery and fun. Take a look at how deep and dark the hole that is our water-filled ocean goes… You could use this as a fun aside, or the start of a unit study on oceans or marine life, or simply a “Hey, Kids! Come over here and look at this utterly cool thing!” This is great for any age kid, and homeschooling moms too! <<read more here>>
