Encouragement For The Homeschooling Mom

Encouragement For The Homeschooling Mom

No matter who we are we need a little encouragement every once in a while, don’t you think?

Encouragement for the homeschooling mom
But for moms who homeschool it can be difficult to find someone who really understands and knows your troubles and frustrations. You just need some encouragement.

When my husband and I first took our kids out of public school and brought them home to learn, we were actually not technically homeschooling. We began with an online charter school that gave us a huge amount of freedom and a helping hand when I needed it. And boy did I need it that first year.

Those were super long days, filled with frustration and tears (mostly my own).

We all need a helping hand every once in a while.

I am sure you have all been there at one time or another. We don’t talk about it much, I think, but haven’t we all been there? Badly in need of encouragement that we cannot find because we don’t know any other homeschooling families, or we are too worried that the frustrations are ours alone and that sun-shiney life that everyone projects about homeschooling is real-all the time.5 Days of Homeschool Essentials (for Mom!)

Over time, we see that we are not alone.

As we go along we find loving, caring homeschool moms who reach out with just the right amount of encouragement and we keep at it.

So when the going gets tough for you, reach out.

Let someone know. Even in a Facebook group or at Church.

I have been there too. It is really hard sometimes.

But you love those children of yours and together you will make it work. You are doing the best thing you could possibly do for your children.

Over this week, I will be talking about ways you can find help.

There are many, many options out there and most of them are low cost or free.

But today I would like to share a special place with you.

It is filled with a special group of homeschooling moms who have dedicated their extra time to helping moms like you and I, as we teach our children at home. It is a group you can always turn to with a question, or just reach out to for a bit of reassurance. You can ask how to help your child learn multiplication tables, or discover ideas for teaching history or writing.

This group is called SchoolhouseTeachers.com. Try the free Scavenger Hunt, enter to win the laptop before the event is over next week, or spend $5 to try the site for a month, and take advantage of those wonderful encouraging homeschooling moms in the customer service chat.
